Teaches participants about one of Miami-Dade’s most important response functions. A VRC is the place where volunteers come to be identified, trained, and deployed to various volunteer activities.
Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) Training.
This team of volunteers is trained to lead other volunteers in projects, allowing our community
to respond to disaster quickly & effectively after a
disaster.
Youth Preparedness Disaster Institute.

Trains youth volunteers to lead other youth and participate in projects aimed at introducing volunteers to disaster preparedness and response activities.
Secure Our Seniors.
Allows companies, groups and families to “adopt” a senior & ensure that their needs are taken care of pre & post disaster. Seniors are among the most at-risk people in times of disaster.
Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD)
Hands On Miami is actively working with VOAD to ensure that our Miami-Dade community is prepared for any kind of disaster. VOAD is a national organization that unites different organizations in order to have the most effective and efficient response effort through cooperation, communication, coordination, and collaboration in times of disaster.
